QuickStart
To monitor Database's system metrics like CPU Percentage, Memory Percentage, Storage Usage with SigNoz, you just need to set up the OpenTelemetry Collector with the Azure Monitor exporter and enable Monitoring for the databases.
Overview
In this guide, you will learn how to monitor Database's system metrics like CPU Percentage, Memory Percentage, Data In, and Data Out with SigNoz. By monitoring these metrics, you can keep track of your application's resource utilization and performance.
For application-level traces and metrics, you can use the DNS name of the OpenTelemetry Collector you set up earlier. Simply configure your application to send traces and metrics to the Central Collector, and they will be forwarded to SigNoz automatically.
Prerequisites
Before you can monitor your Database with SigNoz, you need to ensure the following prerequisites are met:
- You have an Azure subscription and an Database instance running.
- You have set up the Central Collector with the Azure Monitor exporter. If you haven't set it up yet, follow the instructions in the Central Collector Setup
- You should have sql monitoring profile created to monitor the databases in Azure Monitor if not, Follow this guide to Create SQL Monitoring Profile
